AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
CITY OF WATERLOO CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY REPEALING AND
REPLACING CHAPTER 3. ELEC-
TRICAL REGULATIONS, OF TITLE
9 BUILDING REGULATIONS WITH
A NEW CHAPTER 3. ELECTRICAL
REGULATIONS. OF TITLE 9 BUILD-
ING REGULATIONS.
This is a summary of the ordinance
amending the City of Waterloo Code
of Ordinances Chapter 3. Electrical
Regulations. of Title 9 Building Reg-
ulations.
The general purpose of this Ordinance
is to amend the City of Waterloo Code
of Ordinances Chapter 3, Electrical
Regulations; of Title 9 Building Regu-
lations by adopting the 2023 edition of
the National Electrical Code, including
article 90. chapters 1 through 9, and
annex A, B, C, D and H, inclusive, as
published by the National Electrical
Code Committee, and adopted by the
National Fire Protection Association.
The above Is only a summary of the
Ordinance and not the complete text
of the Ordinance. Questions should be
directed to the office of the City Build-
ing Inspector. The Ordinance may be
inspected in its entirety at the office
of the City Clerk 715 Mulberry Street,
Waterloo, Iowa 50703, from Monday
through Friday between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Ordinance will become effective
upon publication of this summary.
