RESOLUTION NO. 2013-66
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF IOWA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting
a variance to the Noise Ordinance to allow contractors to work up
to 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for the period of April 1,
2013 to December 31, 2014, in conjunction with the F.Y. 2013 U.S.
Highway 63 Improvements - Conger Street/Newell Street to Donald
Street, Contract No. 790, and
WHEREAS, said work will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Iowa Department of Transportation has made
formal application for a variance to allow contractors to work up
to 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for the period of April 1,
2013 to December 31, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Iowa Department of
Transportation, for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance, to allow contractors to work up to 24 hours a day and
7 days a week for the period of April 1, 2013 to December 31,
2014, in conjunction with the F.Y. 2013 U.S. Highway 63
Improvements - Conger Street/Newell Street to Donald Street,
Contract No. 790, be and the same hereby granted.
