CONTRACT NO. 1137
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo,
lowa, at her office in the City Hall of
the said City on the 2nd day of April,
2026 until 1:00 p.m- for the construc-
tion of the FY2026 PARKVIEW MAN-
OR AND W. 3ESO STREET DETEN-
TION BASIN, Contract No. 1137, as
described in detail In the plane and
specifications now an file in the Office
of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
in the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers In City Hall, In the City of Wa-
terloo, Iowa, on the 2nd day of April
2026 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals
will be acted upon at such later time
and place as may then be fixed by the
City Council. The bid opening will be
livestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the city webslte. Bids will
be evaluated promptly after opening.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice Is hereby given that the Council
of said City will conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed plans, specifica-
tions, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for the construction of the
above -described improvement project
at 5:30 p.m, an the 6th day of April,
2026, said hearing to be held In the
Harold E. Getty Council Chambers in
City Hall in said Clty. The proposed
plans, specifications, form of con-
tract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared
by the City of Waterloo are now on
file In the office o1 the Clty Clerk for
public examination, and any person
interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing.

SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work Involved Is the
reconstruction of Upland Drive from
Muncy Ave to Fairway Lane, recon-
struction of Fairway Lane from Upland
Drive to north limits, construction of
new Ghost Drive, mass grading for
subdivision at previous 310 Upland
site, and mass grading restoring the
detention area north of W. 3rd St be-
tween U.S. Hwy 63 and Ansborough
Avenue.
