On Proposed Plans, Specifica-
tions, Form of Contract,
And Estimate of Cost For the
LEVEE RIP RAP SPRAYING
]n the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1150
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo.
Iowa, at her office in the City Hall of
the said City on the 19th day of March,
2026 until 1:00 p.m. for the construc-
tion of the Levee Rip Rap Spraying,
Contract No. 1150, as described in de-
tail in the plans and specifications now
on file In the Office of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
in the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers in City Hall, in the City of Water-
loo, Iowa, on the 19th day of March
2026 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals
will be acted upon at such later time
and place as may then be fixed by the
City Council. The bid opening will be
livestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the city website.
PU.BIJC.HEARIN.
Notice Is hereby given that the Council
of said City will conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed plans, specifica-
tions, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for the construction of the
above -described improvement project
at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of April,
2026, said hearing to be held In the
Harold E. Getty Council Chambers In
City Hall In said City. The proposed
plans, specifications, form of con-
tract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared
by the City of Waterloo are now on
file in the office of the City Clerk for
public examination, and any person
interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
wtth the City Clerk before the date set
for said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto at the meeting above
set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work Involved In this protect con-
sists of spraying trees, shrubs, and
other unwanted vegetation In various
reaches of the levees of the Waterloo
Flood Control System. Target vegeta-
tion shall include plants that obstruct
the efficient operation of structures,
prevent proper maintenance of the
levee, or threaten the safety of the
levee.

of Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa
and upon order to the City Council of
