September Sth, 1941, in the amount of 1100.00, drawn on The National Bank of Waterloo, Waterloo, Iowa, accoT2anied said bid. Bid of C. W. RECORD 15901 - On motion by Joder, seconded by Dolan the proof of publication of Notice of Resolution of INecessity No. 8819 for Paving Contract No. 38, was received, and placed on file. The Mayor announced that the time having arrived to hear objections to Paving under said contact, the Council would now proceed to hear the same. There were no objections offered. 15902 - On motion by Strang, seconded by Joder the proof of publication of Notice of Resolution of Necessity No. 8817 for Sewer Contract No. 48, was received and placed onfile. The Mayor announced that the time having arrived_ to hear objections to sewers to be constructed under said contract, the Council would now . proceed to hear the same. 15903 - On motion by Joder, seconded by Burtner the objection of Fell & Anton, etal, to the construction of sewer on Forest Avenue from the existing sewer in Martha Street to a point 403 ft. west of the west line of Martha Street, were received, placed on file and referred to the council as a comnittee of the whole. Lr. A. A. Zimmerman spoke in behalf of said objectors. No other objections were presented or filed. 15904 - On Motion hy Burtner, seconded by Dolan the proofs of publication of Notice of Assessment, OilinE.Project No. 2, Year 1941, were received and placed on file, The Mayor announced that the time having arrived to hear objections to said oiling project, the council would now proceed to hear the same. The City Clerk informed the Tuayor and Council there were no written objections on file in his office, and there were no oral objections offered. 15905 - On motion by Strang, seconded by Burtner the City Clerk was instructed to open bids for the purchase of a patrol car for the Police Department, which were opened and read by the clerk as follows: Repass Automobile ,Con?any: 1941 For DeLuxe Sedan plus certain equipment Net' Price 690.75 Frank Collord Jr,, Tnct. 1942 Plymouth DeLuxe Tudor Sedan plus certain -equipment Yet Price $872.20 15906 - Moved by joder, seconded by Strang that the bid of Repass Automobile Company for •a 1941 Ford DeLuxe Sedan, including additional equipment as listed in -said bid, less trade-in of 1940 Harley-Davidson motor- cycle, for the net Price of 690.75, be accepted. Brown, 533 Newton Street, et al, for oiling on and along Newton Street between Fairview Avenue and Broadway; also for two catch - basins on the corner of Broadway and Newton S treet, was received, placed on file and that part regardinE oiling ordered included in the next oiling program and the installation of catch -basins referred to the Street and Alley Committee. 15910 - On motion by Joder, seconded by Strang the petition of John W. Rose, et al for sewer on Kirkwood from Harwood Avenue to Bismarck Avenue, and on Bismarck Avenue from Kirkwood Avenue to Evergreen Avenue, was received, placed on file and ordered included in the next sewer program. September 2, 1941, by and between Freerk Eiklenborg and Gladys M. Eiklenborg and the Chamberlain Corporation regarding the use of certain real estate for driveway purposes, was received and placed on file. 15920 - On motion by Joder, seconded by Burtner the communication and blue print plat from the Illinois Central Railroad Company and Dubuque and Sioux City aailroad Company, requesting permission to construct an extension across T!ullan Avenue to serve the Crystal Ice and Fuel Company, Waterloo, Iowa, wee received, placed on file and referred to the Council as a Committee of the ',Thole. 15921 - On motion by Joder, seconded by Burtner the communic-tion from Z. A. Carnes, 541 Adrian Street, regarding a claim in connection with Tax Certificate No. 673-4, was received, placed on file and the Mayor in- structed to notify !Ti. Grace Raven, Director of the Waterloo Visiting Nursing Association, stating that 3lizabeth Sunpter has resigned as City Nurse, and suggesting the name of Margaret Brunsting as successor, was received, placed on file and the appointment cf Miss Brunsting to fill the vacancy approved. 15929 - en notion by Joder, seconded by Strang the communication and report from F.
