RESOLUTION NO. 2026-188
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN
ACQUISITION CONTRACT AND A DEED TO CONVEY
REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO, FOR A
PARTIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION CONTRACT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $4,558.00, AND A TEMPORARY
EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,594.00,
FOR A TOTAL COMPENSATION AMOUNT OF $7,152.00,
WITH PRYOR ENTERPRISES, LC FOR THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1955 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE III RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase III
Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with said Project, it is necessary for the City to acquire
certain real property interests from Pryor Enterprises, LC, for property located at 1955 La Porte
Road, Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the required property interests include a Partial Right -of -Way Acquisition
Contract in the amount of $4,558.00, and a Temporary Easement Agreement in the amount of
$2,594.00, for a total compensation amount of $7,152.00; and
WHEREAS, as part of the transaction, a Deed to Convey Real Property to the City of
Waterloo will be executed in accordance with the Acquisition Contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interests of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, to accept and approve said Acquisition Contract, Deed to Convey Real Property to the City
of Waterloo, and Temporary Easement Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Acquisition Contract, Deed to Convey Real Property to the City of Waterloo, and
Temporary Easement Agreement with Pryor Enterprises, LC, for property located at 1955 La
Porte Road, in conjunction with the La Porte Road Phase III Reconstruction Project, are hereby
accepted and approved.
2. Said approval includes a Partial Right -of -Way Acquisition Contract in the amount of
$4,558.00, and a Temporary Easement Agreement in the amount of $2,594.00, for a total
compensation amount of $7,152.00.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
