RESOLUTION NO. 2026-155
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS APRIL 16, 2026, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS MAY 4, 2026, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE STREET DEPARTMENT SEAL COAT PROGRAM,
AND DIRECT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost have
been prepared for the Street Department Seal Coat Program; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date for receipt of bids and a date for public hearing
on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for said project, and
to direct publication of notice as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the
Street Department Seal Coat Program are hereby approved.
2. Sealed bids for said project shall be received until April 16, 2026.
3. A public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for said project is hereby set for May 4, 2026.

4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April 2026.
