RESOLUTION NO. 2026-161
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF
HOTEL/MOTEL TAX COUNCIL DISCRETIONARY FUNDS
TO MAIN STREET WATERLOO, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$20,000.00, FOR THE RED, WHITE & LOO PROJECT.
WHEREAS, hotel/motel tax council discretionary funds are available for allocation to
eligible events and activities that promote tourism, cultural opportunities, and community
engagement; and
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo has requested funding assistance for the Red, White &
Loo Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to award
hotel/motel tax council discretionary funds in the amount of $20,000.00 to Main Street Waterloo
for the Red, White & Loo Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The award of hotel/motel tax council discretionary funds to Main Street Waterloo, in
the amount of $20,000.00, for the Red, White & Loo Project is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6tt, day of April 2026.
