RESOLUTION NO. 2026-170
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,6296,527.23, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2026 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT
NO. 1143, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the FY 2026 Asphalt Overlay Program,
Contract No. 1143; and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, has submitted the lowest responsible bid in
the amount of $1,629,527.23; and
WHEREAS, the contract documents, including the contract, bonds, and certificate of
insurance, have been presented to the City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid of Aspro, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of $1,629,527.23, for the FY
2026 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1143, is hereby accepted and approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for said project are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
