RESOLUTION NO. 2013-25 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH KADIR DIZDARIC FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW DUPLEX TOTALING $115,000.00 PER UNIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1923 AND 1925 RED TAIL DRIVE IN THE CITY LIMITS URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA (CLURA), IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, Kadir Dizdaric has submitted an application dated October 31, 2012 to the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, requesting to receive tax exemptions on the construction of a new duplex totaling $115,000.00 per unit for property located at 1923 and 1925 Red Tail Drive, more fully described as follows: Parcel "E", NW 1/4, Section 08, T88N, R13W, also known as the West portion of Lot 18, Audubon Park Sixth Addition to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 18; thence South 21 Degrees 09 Minutes 35 Seconds West 120.04 feet along the Westerly line of said Lot 18; thence South 52 Degrees 25 Minutes 16 Seconds East 56.73 feet along the Southerly line of said Lot 18; thence North 22 Degrees 16 Minutes 29 Seconds East 136.18 feet along the common line between 1925 Red Tail Drive and 1923 Red Tail Drive; thence North 68 Degrees 54 Minutes 50 Seconds West 57.07 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 18 to the point of beginning, containing 7,151.4 square feet, or 0.164 acres. Parcel "F", NW 1/4, Section 08, T88N, R13W, also known as the East portion of Lot 18, Audubon Park Sixth Addition to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of said Lot 18; thence North 68 Degrees 54 Minutes 50 Seconds West 52.93 feet along the Northerly line of said Lot 18; thence South 22 Degrees 16 Minutes 29 Seconds West 136.18 feet along the common line between 1925 Red Tail Drive and 1923 Red Tail Drive; thence South 52 Degrees 25 Minutes 16 Seconds East 58.11 feet along the Southerly line of said Lot 18; thence North 21 Degrees 05 Minutes 53 Seconds East 152.65 feet along the Easterly line of said Lot 18 to the point of beginning, containing 7,856.3 square feet, or 0.180 acres; and, WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated City Limits Urban Revitalization Area (CLURA) in Waterloo, Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and, Resolution No. 2013-25 Page 2 WHEREAS, the new construction project respecting said property is in conformance with the City Limits Urban Revitalization Area (CLURA) Plan as officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and WHEREAS, the new construction on said property was made during the time in which such construction is eligible for the tax exemption as set forth in the City Limits Urban Revitalization Area (CLURA) Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa, and WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following three- year exemption schedule: For the first year For the second year For the third year 100% 100% 100% NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that said application is hereby approved and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward said application and a copy of this resolution to the Assessor.
