A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
MAY 18, 2026, TO APPROVE PROPOSED REPAIRS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2027 SIDEWALK
INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM — ZONE 5B AND
APPROVE A REQUEST TO SEND OUT NOTIFICATION TO
PROPERTY OWNERS OF PROPOSED SIDEWALK REPAIRS
AND ESTIMATE OF COSTS AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has determined it
appropriate to consider proposed sidewalk repairs in conjunction with the FY 2027 Sidewalk
Inspection and Repair Program — Zone 5B, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date for public hearing on said proposed repairs,
authorize notification to affected property owners of the proposed sidewalk repairs and estimated
costs, and direct publication of notice as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The public hearing is hereby set for May 18, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, to consider proposed sidewalk repairs in conjunction with
the FY 2027 Sidewalk Inspection and Repair Program — Zone 5B.
2. The request to send notification to affected property owners of the proposed sidewalk
repairs and the estimate of costs associated therewith is hereby approved.

3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April 2026.
