RESOLUTION NO. 2026-197
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,607,197.68, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 PARKVIEW MANOR
AND W. 3RD STREET DETENTION BASIN, CONTRACT NO.
1137, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS bids have been received for the FY 2026 Parkview Manor and W. 3rd Street
Detention Basin Project, Contract No. 1137, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, has submitted the bid in the
amount of $1,607,197.68, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to approve the
award of bid, contract, bond, and certificate of insurance for said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid submitted by Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, in the amount of
$1,607,197.68, for the FY 2026 Parkview Manor and W. 3rd Street Detention Basin Project,
Contract No. 1137, is hereby accepted and approved.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance in conjunction with said project are
hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April 2026.
