RESOLUTION NO. 2026-201
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TRAFFIC SAFETY
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM WITH THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $470,000.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A ROUNDABOUT AT HAMMOND
AVENUE AND RIDGEWAY AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has been presented with a Traffic Safety
Improvement Program Agreement from the Iowa Department of Transportation in the amount of
$470,000.00 in conjunction with the construction of a roundabout at Hammond Avenue and
Ridgeway Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to approve said
Agreement and authorize execution of the document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Traffic Safety Improvement Program Agreement with the Iowa Department of
Transportation, in the amount of $470,000.00, in conjunction with the construction of a
roundabout at Hammond Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document.
