BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS a request has been submitted by C&S Properties to rezone approximately 0.49 acres from "R-4" Multiple Residence District to "C-2" Commercial District located at 911 South Street and 519 W. 7th Street, and legally described as follows: THE SOUTHWESTERLY 80 FEET OF LOTS 6 AND 7, AND THE NORTHWESTERLY 30 FEET OF THE SOUTHWESTERLY 80 FEET OF LOT 8, ALL IN BLOCK 6, IN DOE'S ADDITION TO THE VILLAGE OF WATERLOO, IOWA. AND THE NORTHEASTERLY 60 FEET OF LOTS 6 AND 7 AND THE NORTHEASTERLY 60 FEET OF THE NORTHWESTERLY ONE- HALF OF LOT 8,BLOCK 6, IN DOE'S ADDITION TO THE VILLAGE (NOW CITY) OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, after a public hearing, has approved the request and recommended the City Council to amend the Official Zoning Map accordingly, and WHEREAS, this amendment is deemed to be in accordance with the City's comprehensive plan as it serves to accommodate planned commercial growth and ensure the efficient use of land and resources. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: 1. Ordinance No. 5079, as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zoning classification of the property located at 911 South Street and 519 W. 7th Street, from "R-4" Multiple Residence District to "C-2" Commercial District. 2. The Official Zoning Map referred to in Section 10-4-4 of the Waterloo City Code is hereby amended in accordance with the change in zoning classification set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
