Dear Iowa DOT,
On behalf of the City of Waterloo, I am writing to inform you that the City will not be moving
forward with the Hammond Avenue & Shaulis Drive roundabout project.
Due to the lack of City funding, the project cannot be completed within the required timeframe
outlined in the agreement. As a result, the City respectfully requests to withdraw from the
project and forfeit the $500,000 in Traffic Safety Improvement Program (TSIP) funding
associated with this project.
We appreciate the Iowa Department of Transportation's support and partnership. Please let us
know if any additional steps or documentation are needed to complete the closeout of this
agreement.
