RESOLUTION NO. 2016-626
REQUEST FROM DARVEL GIVENS FOR A VARIANCE TO THE
NOISE ORDINANCE ON AUGUST 9, 2016 FROM 6:00 P.M. TO
7:00 P.M., TO HOLD THE RAS SMITH CANDIDACY
ANNOUNCEMENT IN LINCOLN PARK, ALONG WITH THE
USE OF A PA SYSTEM, TOGETHER WITH THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF SAFETY
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Darvel Givens, is requesting a variance to Noise Ordinance on August 9,
2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.,to hold the Ras Smith Candidacy Announcement in Lincoln
Park, including the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, said Darvel Givens for a variance to Noise Ordinance on August 9, 2016
from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.,to hold the Ras Smith Candidacy Announcement in Lincoln Park,
including the use of a PA system,together with the recommendation of the Director of Safety
Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the request of Darvel Givens for a variance to Noise Ordinance on
August 9,2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.,to hold the Ras Smith Candidacy Announcement in
Lincoln Park, including the use of a PA system, including the use of a PA system, is hereby
granted.
