RESOLUTION NO. 2026-234
RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AS MAY 18, 2026, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF
7,507 SQUARE -FEET OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY,
LOCATED TO THE NORTH OF 2123 COMMERCIAL
STREET, TO R&M METALS PROPERTIES, LLC, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $500.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of certain real property consisting
of approximately 7,507 square feet located to the north of 2123 Commercial Street, Waterloo,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the City Council proposes to sell and convey said city -owned property to
R&M Metals Properties, LLC, for the sum of $500.00, and
WHEREAS, before proceeding with said sale and conveyance, it is necessary to set a
date for public hearing and direct the City Clerk to publish notice as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. A public hearing be set for May 18, 2026, to receive public comments on the
proposed sale and conveyance of approximately 7,507 square feet of city -owned property located
to the north of 2123 Commercial Street, in the amount of $500.00 to R&M Metals Properties,
LLC.
by law.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4`" day of May 2026.
