RESOLUTION NO. 2013-468
RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO LEHMAN TRUCKING AND EXCAVATING
INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$6,100.00, AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES (NO
REGULATED ASBESTOS -CONTAINING MATERIALS) FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 209 JEFFERSON STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bonds and Certificate of Insurance with
Lehman Trucking and Excavating Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
amount of $6,100.00, in conjunction with Demolition and Site
Clearance Services (no regulated asbestos -containing materials)
for property located at 209 Jefferson Street, described in the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for
said project in Resolution No. 2013-435, after public hearing on
May 28, 2013 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said
work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June, 2013.
