RESOLUTION NO. 2013-521
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF URSULA HOLMES
FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Ursula Holmes is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on July 5-7, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in
conjunction with a Gates Park Youth Basketball Weekend event to
be held at Gates Park, including a DJ/band and the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Ursula Holmes has made formal application for
a variance effective July 5-7, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
together with recommendation and approval of the Director of
Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Ursula Holmes for a variance
to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on July 5-7, 2013, from
8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with a Gates Park Youth
Basketball Weekend event to be held at Gates Park, including a
DJ/band and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th da of June, 2013.
