RESOLUTION NO. 2026-285
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH
PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE EASTSIDE INTERCEPTOR -
FY26 EMERGENCY SANITARY SEWER REPAIR AT DEAD
END OF NEVADA STREET PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1159,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has solicited bids and determined it necessary to
enter into a contract for construction work in conjunction with the Eastside Interceptor - FY26
Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repair at Dead End of Nevada Street Project, Contract No. 1159; and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, has submitted a bid and been
recommended for the contract for said project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the City to approve
the contract with Peterson Contractors, Inc., for said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The contract with Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, in conjunction with
the Eastside Interceptor - FY26 Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repair at Dead End of Nevada Street
Project, Contract No. 1159, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
