RESOLUTION NO. 2026-272
RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
OF SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH
FY 2027 SIDEWALK INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM
— ZONE 5B.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has established a sidewalk inspection and repair
program to identify and correct defective sidewalks for the protection of the public health, safety,
and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it necessary to proceed with sidewalk
improvements in Zone 5B as part of the FY 2027 Sidewalk Inspection and Repair Program; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements consist of the repair, replacement, and/or
construction of sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, and other associated improvements as may be
necessary within the designated program area; and
WHEREAS, said improvements are in the public's interest and are necessary to maintain
safe and accessible pedestrian travel within the City of Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The proposed construction of sidewalk improvements in conjunction with the FY
2027 Sidewalk Inspection and Repair Program — Zone 5B, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of May 2026.
