RESOLUTION NO. 2026-274
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EASEMENT AGREEMENT
AND DEDICATION OF A RAILROAD EASEMENT BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO ON CITY -OWNED PROPERTY,
LOCATED WEST OF 3105 AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND
NORTH OF THE CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILROAD, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is the owner of certain real property located west of
3105 Airport Boulevard and north of the Canadian National Railroad in Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to approve an Easement
Agreement and dedicate a railroad easement on said City -owned property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that approval of the Easement Agreement
and dedication of the railroad easement will serve a public purpose and is in the best interests of
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Easement Agreement and dedication of a railroad easement by the City of
Waterloo on City -owned property located west of 3105 Airport Boulevard and north of the
Canadian National Railroad are hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
