RESOLUTION NO. 2026-281
RESOLUTION APPROVING A TEMPORARY EASEMENT
AGREEMENT WITH CRYSTAL DISTRIBUTION SERVICES,
INC., LOCATED AT 1656 SYCAMORE STREET, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT OF THE
FORMER RATH PACKING COMPANY BUILDINGS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is undertaking activities in conjunction with the
asbestos abatement of the former Rath Packing Company buildings; and
WHEREAS, in connection therewith, it is necessary and in the best interests of the City
to obtain a Temporary Easement Agreement with Crystal Distribution Services, Inc., for property
located at 1656 Sycamore Street, Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approval of said Temporary Easement
Agreement will facilitate the asbestos abatement work and serve a public purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Temporary Easement Agreement with Crystal Distribution Services, Inc., for
property located at 1656 Sycamore Street, Waterloo, Iowa, in conjunction with asbestos
abatement of the former Rath Packing Company buildings, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
