RESOLUTION NO. 2016-673
REQUEST OF JIM KOCH FOR A VARIANCE TO THE NOISE
ORDINANCE ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2016 FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 9:00
P.M., IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE
CRUISE EVENT TO BE HELD IN THE UNIVERSITY HY-VEE
PARKING LOT AND PROGRESS AVENUE, ALONG WITH THE
USE OF A PA SYSTEM, TOGETHER WITH THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF SAFETY
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Jim Koch, is requesting a variance to Noise Ordinance on September 4,
2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the University Avenue Cruise event to be
held in the University Hy-Vee parking lot and Progress Avenue, along with the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the request of Jim Koch for a variance to Noise Ordinance on
September 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the University Avenue
Cruise event to be held in the University Hy-Vee parking lot and Progress Avenue, along with
the use of a PA system, together with the recommendation of the Director of Safety Services, is
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22"d day of August, 2016.
