RESOLUTION APPROVING SAID BUDGET WITH A TOTAL
TAX LEVY RATE INCLUDING THE CULTURAL &
SCIENTIFIC LEVY FOR THE GROUT MUSEUM DISTRICT
OF $17 . 60522 AND PROPERTY TAX ASKINGS
INCLUDING THE CULTURAL & SCIENTIFIC LEVY IN
THE AMOUNT OF $40, 429, 803, RESULTING IN A
CITY-ONLY TAX LEVY RATE OF $17 . 33522
AND PROPERTY TAX ASKINGS EXCLUDING THE
CULTURAL & SCIENTIFIC LEVY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$39, 821, 470 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that the annual budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30,
2017, as set forth in the Budget Summary Certificate in the
detailed budget in support thereof showing the revenue estimates
and appropriation, expenditures and allocations to programs for
said fiscal year is adopted, with a levy rate of $17 . 60522
including the Cultural & Scientific Levy for the Grout Museum
District and property tax askings of $40, 429, 803, resulting in a
city-only tax levy rate of $17 . 33522 and property tax askings
excluding the Cultural & Scientific Levy in the amount of
$39, 821, 470, and the City Clerk is directed to make the filings
required by law and the Chief Financial Officer to set up the
books in accordance with the summary and details as adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of March 2016 by the
following vote: Ayes-Four. Nays : Three (Jacobs, Lind, and
Schmitt) .
