RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AS AUGUST 1, 2016 TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY LAMAR
ADVERTISING FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE "S-1"
SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A 45' TALL, 378 SF OFF-PREMISES
BILLBOARD, LOCATED AT 2010 SEARS STREET, AND
INSTRUCT CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 1St day of August,
2016, for the purpose of considering the request by Lamar Advertising for a site plan amendment
to the "S-1" Shopping Center District to allow for the construction of a 45'tall, 378 SF off-
premises billboard, located at 2010 Sears Street, located east of 1844 West Ridgeway Avenue,
and legally described as follows:
PARCEL B OF PLAT OF SURVEY FILED IN DOC #2006-11650 BEING A PART OF
THE EAST HALF OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 88 NORTH, RANGE 13, WEST OF THE
FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and
place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
