RESOLUTION NO. 2013-325
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF ALTERNATIVES
PREGNANCY CENTER FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE
NO. 3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Alternatives Pregnancy Center is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 6, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. to
10:30 a.m., in conjunction with the Wheels & Heels for Life event
to be held at 1006 Decathlon Drive, including a band/DJ and the
use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Alternatives Pregnancy Center has made formal
application for a variance effective July 6, 2013 from 7:30 a.m.
to 10:30 a.m., together with recommendation and approval of the
Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Alternatives Pregnancy
Center for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on
July 6, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in conjunction with
the Wheels & Heels for Life event to be held at 1006 Decathlon
Drive, including a band/DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the
same hereby granted.
