RESOLUTION NO. 2026-367
RESOLUTION APPROVING LIABILITY INSURANCE
COVERAGE WITH CHUBB, TRAVELERS, ARCH, ALLIED,
COWBELL, SAFETY NATIONAL FOR PROPERTY, TORT,
EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES, PUBLIC OFFICIALS, LAW
ENFORCEMENT LIABILITY, AUTO, CYBER, WORKER'S
COMPENSATION, UMBRELLA, CRIME AND FIDELITY,
EXCESS LIABILITY INSURANCE, AND THIRD -PARTY
ADMINISTRATOR SERVICES, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,461,749, AUTHORIZE THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has received proposals for insurance coverage
and related services necessary to protect the City's interests with respect to property, tort,
employment practices, public officials, law enforcement liability, automobile, cyber, workers'
compensation, umbrella, crime and fidelity, and excess liability exposures, together with third
party administrator services; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to approve liability insurance coverage
with Chubb, Travelers, Arch, Allied, Cowbell, and Safety National for such coverages and
services in the total amount of $2,461,749; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk should be authorized to execute such applications, binders,
certificates, agreements, and other documents as may be necessary to effectuate said insurance
coverage and related services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. Liability insurance coverage with Chubb, Travelers, Arch, Allied, Cowbell, and
Safety National for property, tort, employment practices, public officials, law enforcement
liability, auto, cyber, workers' compensation, umbrella, crime and fidelity, excess liability
insurance, and third party administrator services, in the total amount of $2,461,749, is hereby
approved.
2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
