RESOLUTION NO. 2026-350
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF DANNIEL
DECKER FOR A WAIVER FOR AN ASPHALT DRIVEWAY,
LOCATED AT 1537 NEWELL STREET, WITH THE
ELIMINATION OF THE SIDEWALK SECTION FOR
ASPHALT DRIVEWAYS.
WHEREAS, Danniel Decker, the property owner at 1537 Newell Street, has submitted a
request for a waiver to construct an asphalt driveway; and
WHEREAS, the request includes the elimination of the sidewalk section requirement for
asphalt driveways at this location; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, the City Council deems it appropriate to allow such
construction under specific conditions and in compliance with all applicable city codes and
standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The request of Daniel Decker for a waiver to construct an asphalt driveway at 108
Ogden Avenue, is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions:
a) Work is to be performed by an approved and bonded contractor.
b) A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City Engineer prior to construction.
c) All work shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and at no cost to the City
of Waterloo.
d) The City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution
to the Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk County Auditor for filing
in order that this said action may become a matter of official County Record.
2. The City Engineer is authorized and directed to take necessary steps to implement this
resolution in accordance with applicable city codes and policies.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2026.
