RESOLUTION NO. 2026-353
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JULY 23, 2026, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS AUGUST 3, 2026, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT
AB-2026-07-01P (70 SYCAMORE STREET), AND INSTRUCT
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications,
form of contract, and estimate of cost for Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract AB-2026-07-
01P, for property located at 70 Sycamore Street; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost, and to establish a date for bid opening and a date for public
hearing on the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract AB-2026-07-01P (70 Sycamore Street), are hereby
approved.
2. Sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. July 23, 2026.
3. A public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for said project is hereby set for August 3, 2026.

4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2026.
