RESOLUTION NO. 2026-354
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JULY 9, 2026, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JULY 20, 2026, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES
WITH REGULATED ASBESTOS -CONTAINING MATERIALS,
CONTRACT NO. RD-2026-06-05P, AND INSTRUCT THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications,
form of contract, and estimate of cost in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance
Services with regulated asbestos -containing materials, Contract No. RD-2026-06-05P; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost, and to establish a date for bid opening and a date for public
hearing on the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost in
conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services with regulated asbestos -containing
materials, Contract No. RD-2026-06-05P, are hereby approved.
2. Sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. July 9, 2026.
3. A public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for said project is hereby set for July 20, 2026.

4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2026.
