RESOLUTION NO. 2026-355
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JULY 23, 2026, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS AUGUST 3, 2026, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2027 SIDEWALK INFILL, SIDEWALK RAMP,
AND TRAIL REPAIR PROGRAM - ZONE 5B, CONTRACT
NO. 1157, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications,
form of contract, and estimate of cost in conjunction with the FY 2027 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk
Ramp, and Trail Repair Program - Zone 5B, Contract No. 1157; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost, and to establish a date for bid opening and a date for public
hearing on the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost in
conjunction with the FY 2027 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk Ramp, and Trail Repair Program - Zone
5B, Contract No. 1157, are hereby approved.
2. Sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. July 23, 2026.
3. A public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for said project is hereby set for August 3, 2026.

4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6`" day of July 2026.
