RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JULY 20, 2026, TO REVIEW THE FUNDING
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BOARD'S FY27 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
FOR CDBG AND HOME FUNDS FOR THE
WATERLOO/CEDAR FALLS HOME CONSORTIUM AND
INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Consortium participates in the Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program to support
community development initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Board has prepared funding recommendations
as part of the FY27 Annual Action Plan for the allocation of CDBG and HOME funds; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to present and review these funding
recommendations, soliciting input from community members and stakeholders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. A public hearing to review the FY27 Annual Action Plan funding recommendations,
as proposed by the Community Development Board, is hereby scheduled for July 20, 2026, at
5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
2. Community members and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and provide feedback
regarding the allocation of CDBG and HOME funds.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
