RESOLUTION NO. 2026-358
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF HOTEL/MOTEL
TAX COUNCIL DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO THE
WATERLOO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR WATERLOO
YOUTH CITY COUNCIL IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo allocates hotel/motel tax funds for discretionary use by
the City Council to support community projects and organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Community Foundation has applied for funding, in the amount
of $25,000.00, to support the Waterloo Youth City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the application and deems it to be a valuable
initiative deserving of financial support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the award of $25,000.00 from the hotel/motel tax
discretionary fund to the Waterloo Community Foundation.
2. The funds are intended to be used specifically by the Waterloo Community Foundation
to support the Waterloo Youth City Council.
