RESOLUTION NO. 2026-361
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY CEDAR VALLEY
CORPORATION, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $5,349,518.80, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025
E./W. SAN MARNAN RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1116, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo entered into a contract for the FY 2025 E./W. San
Marnan Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1116; and
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, has performed the work
required under the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted a report indicating the Project has been
completed in accordance with the contract documents, and has recommended acceptance of the
work; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount for the work performed is $5,349,518.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves completion of the Project and accepts the work
performed by Cedar Valley Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, in conjunction with the FY 2025
E./W. San Marnan Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1116, in the amount of $5,349,518.80.
2. The two-year maintenance bond submitted for the Project is hereby received and filed
with the City Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2026.
