RESOLUTION NO. 2026-365
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL, INC., OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $274,000.00, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
SERVICES, CONTRACT AB-2026-05-01P (54 LANE STREET),
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the Asbestos Abatement Services Project,
Contract AB-2026-05-01P (54 Lane Street), and
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, has submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $274,000.00, and
WHEREAS, the contract documents, including the contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, have been presented to the City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid of Advanced Environmental, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of
$274,000.00, for the Asbestos Abatement Services Project, Contract AB-2026-05-01P (54 Lane
Street), is hereby accepted and approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for said project are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2026.
