That whereas 9 the V % �_c ordered
the following described streets in the city of 77aterloo 9 Iowa, graded, curbed,
guttered and -paved with asphalt, to -wit,
East Foirth street from the nor-urierly line of Sumner street to the northerly
line of Parker street; Fouler street from the east line of Irving street to the
belt line of the Illinois Central -Railway Uompany; "lest Fourth street from the
southwest line of _arI: -Drive to the southwest line of Sheridan Road, to, ether
with the necessary intersections on said above described streets where not already
paved, upon motion of the city council without petiu'ion therefor by abutting
property owners.
Be it further resolved, that the city clerk be, and he is hereby directed to
-U q advertise for bids and proposals for the doing of said work in accordance T, i
Section No. 813 of the Code and the date lor oper.inkr said bids ana proposals to
be at 7:30 o'clock p.m. of "That said improve-
ments shall be paid for when the work is completed and accepted by the city council
of the city of "'aterloo, Iowa, by certi-L-Ji-cates issued to the conii,ractor against
property abutting said improvement in proportion to the number of lineal front

and resolutions of this council.
The city expressly reserves the r-,ght to stop the work for the -n�urpose of
putting in public service pipes on any, of said streets, in which event the time
will be extended for the completion of said work.
