That whereas, the city engineer has prepared and filed in the office of
the city clerk a plat, schedule and report showing the amount of cost of improve-
ment to be assessed against each. lot or parcel of ground on the portions of the
streets shown by said plat, schedule and report, ordered improved by this coun-
cil, to-wit . _.Constructing sidewalks in
front of lots 7, 8, 9, blk. 3; lots 7,
8, blk. 10; lots 7, 8, 9, blk. 4, all in
I,Greenfield addition; lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

Whereas, the city has caused due notice of the assessment for the cost of
said improvement to be published as provided by law, and whereas the city council
has inspected the aforesaid plat, schedule and report as filed by the city engin#
eer and has inspected each lot or parcel of ground fronting said streets , and
Whereas, the city council finds in every instance the amount set forth in
said plat, schedule and report as assessed against each lot or parcel of ground
fronting and abutting said streets so improved, is in proportion to the benefits
conferred on said property by reason of said street improvements as shown in the
schedule hereto annexed and made a part hereof and in no instance does the city
cou.n it find the amount in excess of said benefits as shown by said schedule
and find that the assessment does not exceed 25% of the value of ii# any of said
property at the time of this levy, and,
Whereas, no objections have been made to said assessment by the owners of any
of said property, now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the city council of the city of Waterloo, Iowa, that there
be and there is hereby assessed and levied against the respective lots and par-
cels of ground abutting said described streets , as shown by said plat and sched-
ule hereto annexed and made a prt hereof, the amount set opposite each lot or
parcel of ground as shown by said plat, schedule and report on said above de-
scribed streets.
