That whereas, the city council has this day ordered the construction of
cement sidewalks along the following described streets in the city of Waterloo
On the west side of Linden avenue
in front of lots 1, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25,
Iowa; 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, blk. 2;
and lots 3, 4, 5, 6, blk. 3 in Alford's
Addition. On both sides of Butler
avenue from Linden avenue to State'
street in front of lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
9, 10, 11, 12, Troxel's Sub-Div.; lots

Now, therefore be it resolved by the city council that the city clerk be ani
he Is hereby directed to advertise for bids and proposals for the doing of sa:
work in accordance with Section #8I3 of the Code. The date for opening said
bids and proposals to be on the day of a I9I3 at
7:30 o'clock p.m. That said improvement shall be paid for when the work is
completed and accepted by the city council by the issuances of certificates tc
the contractor for the amount thereof against a fund to be derived from a -Ca]
to be levied under Sections 779 and 88I of the Code, as amended by Chapter 30
of the acts sInd resolutions of the Thirtieth General Assembly. The right is
reserved by the city to deduct from said list any of said walks before the co'
,tract is let for the construction thereof. The city also reserves the right tc
reject any and all bids.
