the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
Whereas, It is deemed advisable
and necessary to construct sewers
along certain streets in the city of
Waterloo, Iowa, hereinafter de-
scribed, now therefore, be it
Resolved, by the city council of the
city of Waterloo, Iowa, That it will
consider the following proposed reso-
lution of necessity at a meeting of ff

chamber in the city hall in said city t ;

clerk is directed to give twenty (29 1
days'notice thereof inaccordance with
the law and ordinances governing the
same, said resolution of necessity be-

Be it Resolved, by the city council
of the city of Waterloo, Iowa, That
the advisability and necessity of con-
structing main sewers along the fol-
lowing described streets in the city

Said sewer to be constructed of
standard vitrified sewer pipe.
Said sewer pipe to be laid in con-
formity with existing grades where
already established by the city coun-
cil of said city. Manholes are_to be
'placed along said..sewer as shown by
the plans and specifications for said
work.
All of said work is to be done in
accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations therefor to be prepared by
the city engineer of said city, and
filed in the office of the city clerk of
said city.
The cost of constructing said sew-
ers shall be paid when'the work is
completed and accepted by the city
council by sewer certificates issued
to the contractor against property
abutting on such sewer in proportion
to the number of lineal front feet of
each parcel thereof, which certificates
shall be accepted by the contractor in
full payment for said work.
The contractor is to be required to
give bond to the city of Waterloo,
Iowa, in the sum of one-third (1-3)
of the cost of said sewer with ap-
proved surety or sureties, as a guar-
.anty that he will properly construct
and carry out said work and faith-
fully perform all the terms and condi-
tions of his contract
Said sewers are ordered upon mo-
tion of the city council without peti-
tion therefor.
All persons interested will take
due lipase and govern themselves ac-
cordipgly.i.
