of the city of Waterloo;°Iowa, that
the advisability and necessity of,con-
structing main sewers along the fol-
lowing described streets In the city of
Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby declared
and directed;
On Rhey street to within'100 feet.
of Independence avenue, 10 inches in
diameter; Mohawk street from Inde-
pendence avenue to Glenwood street,
12 inches in diameter; Bluff street
street to within 120 feet
northwest of Nest Fourth street, 12
inches in diameter; Bratnober street
from Columbia street to Lincoln
street, 12 inches in diameter; Elm
street from Lafayette street to river,
30 inches in diameter; ' Lafayette
street from Elm street to Stanley
Court, 15 inches in diameter;'Stanley
Court-to Concrete, 12 inches in di-
ameter.
-Said -sewer -to_be constructed of
standard vitrified:sewer pipe.
Said sewer pipe to be laid in con-
formity with 'existing grades where
already established or to grades to
be:established by the city council of
said city. Manholes are to be placed
along said sewer as shown by the
plans and specifications for said
work.

accordance with the plans and spect-,
fications tberefor'to be prepared by
the city engineer of eaid city, and!
i filed In the office of the city clerk of
said city.
The cost of constructing said aew-
era shall be paid when the wortt is
completed and accepted by the city
I council by sewer certificates Issued-to
i the contractor against property abut-
ting on such serer-in proportion to
the number of lineal front feet of
l each parcel thereof,which certificates
shall be accepted by the contractor in
full payment-for said worts.
The contractor to to oa required to
give bond to the city of Waterloo,
Iowa, in the sum of one-third (1-3)
of the cost of said sewer with ap-
proved surety or sureties, as a guar-
anty that.he will properly construct
and carry out said work and faithful-
ly perform all the .terms and condi-
tions of his contract.
Said sewers are ordered upon mo-
tion of the city council without peti-
tion therefor.
