Be it resolved by the city council of the city of Waterloo,

That by reason of the fact that the previous administration
of the city of Waterloo, Iowa,made and entered into an agreement
with Mr. B. F. Sari Sher,about one . year ago,for the purpose of
securing- a revision and a published book of the city ordinances
of the city of W terloo,Iorra,and for the further reason that it
has been reported to the members of the finance committee o± the
present administration by Mr.Swisher,that the work of the revision
is one half completed an that Mr. Swisher desires an extension of
time to the first of Jai uary,I9I6; o i o:.. before which date he agrees J
to complete e and publish the work; cinr' for the further reason that he
has been solicitor f e the city of waterloo for e, number of years
and because of the work no-.:r done in this connection, is familiar
with the ordinances and the work gener ,1?y, it i.s deemed advisable
that this extenlion of time be granted to Mr.Swisher:—
Therefore be it further resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk
enter into a written agreement with the said Swisher to pay the sun
of One Thousa d( I_,000. lolly s for the work upon its completion
and publication on or before the first. of January,I9I5; said revision
and codification when so completed and before publication to be
approved by the city Solicitor and a recomenclation be made by him
to the members of the finance; co?theittee for the vublication of the
Ordinances so revised and codified.
