the advisability and:necessity of.coz-
structing sewer.•along the following
described streets in the- city of WaS
terloo, Iowa,:is.hereby,declared and
directed:
On West Fourth street from the I
southwesterly line of Washington I,
street to- the northeasterly line of
South street to be 12:iinehes in diam•
eter:
On Oak Lawn avenue from Well-
ington street to the north line of
Mullan avenue to'be 10 inches in di-
ameter.
On Forest avenue from Dry Run
sewer to 108 feet east of the east
line of West Sixth street, �:

sewer to'Seventh-street, and to be 8�' N
inches in diameter from - Seventh
street to 108 feet east of the -east
line of West Sixth street.

Said.sewer pipe to be"laid in con
formity.with existing grades where
already established by the city coun-
cil of said city. Manholes are to be
placed along said sewer as shown by
the plans and specifications for said
work.
All of said work is to be done in
accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations therefor to be prepared by
the city engineer of said city, and
filed in the office of the city clerk of!
said city.
The cost of constructing said sew-
ers shall be paid when the work is
completed and accepted by the city
council by sewer certificates issued
to the contractor • against property j
abutting on such sewer in proportion
Ito the number of lineal-front feet of
'each parcel thereof, which certificates
shall be accepted by the contractor in
full payment for said work.
The contractor is to be required to
give bond to the city of`Waterloo,
Iowa, in the sum of one-third (1-3)
of the cost of said sewer with ap-;
proved surety or sureties, as a guar-
anty that he will properly construct
and carry out said work and faith-
'fully perform all the terms and condi-i
tions of his contract.
Said sewers are ordered upon mo-
tion of the city council without pe-
tition therefor.
