Be it resolved b-;, the city ocurt0i1 of the city of WatF.,.rloo, Iowa:
That in accordance with the provisions of ordinance No. 7ZO, of the
ordinances of the city of Waterloo, Iowa, adopted on the 3Ist, day of
May, 1911, the Illinois Central Rilway Company, be, and said company is
hereby, ordered and d.irecte1 to install and maintain flagmen, within
thirty days from the date of service of a copy of this resolution upon
said company, at the intersections of their road and of the following
named streets: East Fourth sand. Water streets; East Fifth and Water streets ;

Resolved, That said croesinzs shall be protected by flagmen at all hours
of day and night. Said 77L-,,,gxen to take a position in or near the center
of said street intersections, and to warn all persons approaching such
crossings b: a suitable flag during the day time, and by a red lantern
after dark, of the danger by reason of the movement of tra.inS, oars or
engines over and upon such crossings. Be it further
Resolved, That the chief of police be, and. he is hereby, directed to
cause a copy of this re;olution to be served on said Illinois Central
Rifilway Company forthwith, and make return of such *ultimo in the office
of the city clerk.
