Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waterioo,Iowa:
Whereas,it is deemed advisable and necessary to construct
sewers along certain streets in the City of Waterloo,Iowa.,herein—
after deecribed„now therefore:
Be it resolved by the City Council of. the City of Waterloo,
Iovra„that it will consider the following proposed resolution of
necessity at: a meeting of the city council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa,to be held at the council chamber in the city hail in said

and the City Clerk 'is directed to give fourteen(I4)dLyo notice
thereof in accordance with the law and ordinances goverhing the
samesairl resolution of necessity being as follows,towit::
Be it resolved:by the City Ctouncil of the city of Waterloo,
Iowa,t.hat the advisability and necessity of constructing certain
sewers along the following described streets in the city of
Waterloo,Iowa,is hereby declared and directed:
Fletcher Avenue from Third street to Reber avenue to be 12
inches in diameter.
Reber Avenue from Fletcher to Euclid avenues to be IC inches
in diameter.
Kern Street from Burton to Avon avenues to be IO inches in
diameter.

Said sewers to be constructed of standard vitrified sewer
' pipe or of concrete sewer pipe. Said sewer pipe to be laid in
conformity with existing grades where already established or to
grades to be established by the city council of said city.Manholes
are to be placed along said sewer as shown by the plans and speci-
fications for said work. All of said work is to be done in accord-i
ance with the pans and specifications therefor to be prepared by
the city engineer of said city and filed in the office of the
city clerk of said city.
The cost of constructing said sewers shall be paid when the
work is completed and accepted by the city council, by sewer certi-
ficates issued to the contractor against property abutting on
such sewer in proportion to the number of lineal front feet of
each parcel thereof,which certificates shall be accepted by the
contractor in full payment for said work
The contractor is to be required to give bond to the City of
Waterloo,Iowa,in the sum of one-third of the cost of said sewers
with approved surety or sureties as a guaranty that he will pro-
perly construct and carry out said work and faithfully perform
all the terms and conditions of his contract. Said sewers are
ordered upon motion of the city council without petition therefor :
