WHEREAS , owing to the fact that the late high
water has washed out the dike, which protects the back
water from backing up into Lafayette Park and spreading
• over the adjacent property to the injury of many property
owners , both private and factory, in this territory , be
it rosolved that the engineering department take immediate
steps to work out some plan to repair said dike and also
that the street commissioner be empowered to carry out
such improvement.
