if curb can be removed without impair-
ing same said curb is to be reset to
new line of curb, and in any event all •
curb and gutters whether retained or
reset shall be fully repaired, and new
curb and new curb and gutter to be
built at such places as the city council
may direct.

with the necessary intersections where -
not already paved, shall be improved up-
on motion of the city council without
petition therefor by the property own-
ers situated within one-half block and
not to exceed three hundred (300) feet
from the streets to be improved.
