That whereas , the city engineer has prepared and filed in the office of the
city clerk, a plat, ochedule and report showing the amount of coat of improve—
ment to be assessed against the parcels of ground on the portion of the streets
as shown by said piety schedule and report ordered improved by this council,
to—wit:
Construeting pavinez on Irvine street fro ie Independence avenue to Glenwood
street; on Glenwood street from Bexcly street to Cherry street in the city
of 7aterloo, Iowa.
Whereas , the city has caused due notioe of the special asseseeeent for
the cost of said improveLlents to be published as provided by Ian , and
Wheree,s, the city coulecil has inspected the aforesaid plat, schedule and
report as filed by the city engineer, and has inspected the percels of ground
abutting eed adjacent to said described streets, and
Whereas, the city council finds in every instance the auount set forth in
aid plat, schedule and report as assesead against the pnrcels of greund •
abutting and adjacent to said described streets is in proportion to the special
benefits conferred on said property by reason of said street improvements as
sho-en by the schedule hereto annexed and eaele a part hereof ani in no instemce
doze the city council find the aleount in excess of said benefits as shown by
eeid schedule and finds that the ezoeseeient does not exceed 25 of the value
of said property at the time of this levy, and
Whereas, no objections have been made to said assessrAent by any of the
property 'owners on the said described streets, now, therefore
Be it resolved by the city council of the city of aaterloo, Iowa, that
there be and there is here4 assessed and levied againz the respective parcels
of ground abutting and adjacent to said descsibed- sAroets as shown -7,,y said
plate and schedules hereto azineed and made a part hereof the amount set
opposite each parcel of qround as shown by said plats, schedules and reports
on said iescribed streets.
