Be it resolved by the city council of
the city of Waterloo, Iowa, that the
advisability and necessity of construct-
ing certain sewers along the following
described streets in the city of We.-
terloo, Iowa, is hereby declared and di-
rected:
On Kern street, from Broadway etreet
to Fairview avenue to be 16 inches in�
diameter; from Fairview avenue to
Grandview avenue to be 12 inches in
diameter,
On Fairview avenue, from Kern street
to Dawson street, to be 10 inches in
diameter;, front Kern street to Newton
street to be 1(0 inches in diameter.
On Western avenue from Bertch ave-
nue to Forest avenue to be 12 inches in
diameter.
On Louise street, from East Fourth
street to Boston avenue, to be 12 inches
in diameter.
On Boston avenue from Louise street
to Dale street, to be 10 inches in dia.-
meter.

On Mobile street from Fowler street
north to the alley between Fowler street
and Courtland street to be 8 inches in
diameter.
On Lane street from Franklin street
north to alley between Franklin street
and Fowler street to be 8 inches in dia-
meter.
On Broadway street from 300 feet
north of Parker street to Arlington
street to be 12 inches in diameter.
Said sewers to be constructed of
standard vitrified sewer pipe. Said sew-
er pipe to be laid in conformity with
the existing grades where already es-
tablished or grades to be established by
the city council of said city. Manholes
are to be placed along said sewers as
shown by the plans and specifications
for said work. All of said work to be
done in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor to be prepared
by the city engineer of said city and
filed in the office of the city clerk of
said city.
The cost of constructing said sewers
shall be paid when the work is complet-
ed and accepted by the city council by
bonds issued to the contractor against;
property abutting on said sewers in pro
portion to the number of lineal front
feet of each parcel thereof which bonds
shall be accepted by the contractor in
full payment of said work.
The contractor is to be required to
give bond to the city of Waterloo, Iowa,
a,
in the sum of one-third of the oof
said sewers with approved surety or
sureties as a guaranty that he will prop-
erly construct and carry out said work
and faithfully perform all the terms
and conditions of his contract. Said
sewers are ordered upon motion of the
city council without petition therefor.
