Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,Iowa:
That whereas the Black Hawk Feeding Company,by Messrs.
Edwards,Longley,Ransier & Smith,have submitted to the City of Waterloo,a
communication with reference to a purported contract between the City and
H.R.Engemoen and H.M.Bayne,of date February,II,I9I8, assigned to Black Hawk
Feeding C ompany;and
Whereas the City has secured from Meaess.Pickett Swisher &
Farwell.an opinion that said instrument is not a valid or enforcible contract;
Now therefore,be it resolved that the City Clerk be and he is here
by directed to notify Edwards.Longley,Ransier & Smith,for s*dd Black Hawk Feeding
Company.that the City does not condiddr said instrument above referred to a
valid or enforcible contract,and does not intend to undertake to carry out
the same.
